Joy Fold Cards

Hi Everyone, Cindy here with your next challenge, and that is to make a Joy Fold Card. They are one of the easiest interactive cards you can make.

So lets see what ideas you come up with. If you haven't made one or don't know what they are, there is a great tutorial at Splitcoast Stampers;

Window Cards

Hello Crafter's!

This week our challenge will be very eye opening. LOL. Hello... Leslie again and I am your Hostess for this week.  I would like to challenge you all to create a "Window Card".

Now if you Google 'window card' you get many configurations all the way from a card with a hole in it to a card with an actual window. My definition would be a card or project with some sort of shape cut out of the front, creating a 'window' to an image inside. But creating the card is the fun part. As usual, all of our designers have their own unique view on this idea and have made some terrific cards for this week.

Hope you will try this challenge and have some fun with it.

Thanks for joining us, can't wait to see what your window card looks like

Oh Boy...a Z- fold card

Hello crafters. This week we are going to challenge you with a Z- fold cards. I really love the look of these and that is why I chose this card for my Challenge. Sometimes they are called S-folds as well.
There are many variations on this card but the one I did for my sample was from a lady named Linda Duke. She has a good tutorial here and several variations that are also great. Her directions are simple to follow and she has good tips as well .You can find a tutorial at Splitcoast Stampers for the Double Z Fold here . Here are the Design Team Creations to give you some inspiration. For more information on our creations visit our blogs by clicking on our names above the card. We love comments too.

Ribbon Frame Technique

Happy Sunday, Stampers! This week here at Come and Get It, we are challenging you to make a card with a Ribbon Frame. There is a tutorial HERE for you to check out.

This week's challenge is sponsored by BUGABOO STAMPS! We will use Random.Org and the winner will

Here is a little information on Bugaboo's History:
As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing!  From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects.  Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!
If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps at  Totally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT  for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug.

Split Negative Technique Challenge

Hi Everyone, This week it is my turn to pick the challenge for the technique. I've decided on the Split Negative Technique because I like the effect as well I hadn't done it for quite some time and thought it would be great for something different. Anyway if your not familiar with the technique you can find the instructions HERE. Splitcoaststampers has a lot of tutorials and they are easy to follow, so we hope you will give it a try. Here are the Design Team Creations to give you some inspiration. For more information on our creations visit our blogs by clicking on our names above the card. We love comments too.

Stained Glass Technique

Hey there all you crafty folks, I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone that joined our challenge last round for Julie's sketch!
This week for the challenge I picked out a technique that I hadn't tried myself.... it's called "Stained Glass" using vellum, so if you are like me you got some in your stash of goodies somewhere!
I chose to make a Christmas card this time using a Tim Holtz stamp from the set "Letters to Santa"
Stained Glass technique is really easy and fun if you haven't tried it yet check out the instructions on Split Coast Stampers here
Looking forward to seeing all your fabulous creations.........Here's The Design Team Members cards for samples to get you all going on the technique!

Kissing Technique

Hello Crafters! This week I get to do an exciting Technique Challenge. Get ready for the Kissing Technique. Oh my! Not that Kissing technique... the stamping one. The basic idea is simple, but there are so many different ways to 'Kiss' in stamping. So, I have found a great video to help you. If you have never watched the 'Stamping Goddess' you are in for a treat. Go HERE

However, the basic technique is to take a solid stamp, ink it,  then take another stamp with a pattern on it and touch them together. The solid stamp now has a pattern on it which you can use on your project. But the cool part is that the pattern stamp has ink on it in the shape of your solid stamp. So now you have two images you could use to put on your project, both different.  Like the positive and negative of the same stamp. Well, you can 'Kiss' with a Twist, you can Kiss in two colours, you can 'Kiss and cut out...which is what I did on my card. There are many ways to 'Kiss', and now you know one more way. Thanks for listening. Leslie

Faux Linen Technique Challenge

Hi Everyone, Cindy here, your hostess for this challenge. Thanks to all who have tried our challenges thus far, we really are having a blast visiting your blogs. I have picked the technique challenge which I've decided on the faux linen technique. It's fun to do and very easy if you've not tried it before please give it a try. Here is a link to a video for you, in case you haven't done it before
Faux Linen Video
This technique is fun cause you can use it as a background technique or you can use it as part of the focal image of your project. I decided I would do one of each for you to see.
The first is the trees, the faux linen section of this card is actually the sky, doesn't show up as nice as I would like on the camera but it is there, The second card I've used it along with the background stamp wonderfully worn on the background piece, so as you can see both ways work really nice. So why not give it a try, and for more inspiration we have some great samples from our Design Team as well as our Guest Designer once again Von.Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see your work.
