Split Negative Technique Challenge

Hi Everyone, This week it is my turn to pick the challenge for the technique. I've decided on the Split Negative Technique because I like the effect as well I hadn't done it for quite some time and thought it would be great for something different. Anyway if your not familiar with the technique you can find the instructions HERE. Splitcoaststampers has a lot of tutorials and they are easy to follow, so we hope you will give it a try. Here are the Design Team Creations to give you some inspiration. For more information on our creations visit our blogs by clicking on our names above the card. We love comments too.

I’m going to go with #5 Vickie……..her card is so cute with that image of the little girl and puppy, she used a wonderful punch to get her edging which makes it look lacy. Great job using the sketch!
Shell

I am also picking #5 Vickie this week, because of the great use of the sketch, the beautiful job on the coloring of the image, and just love that pop of yellow she used with the flowers.
Cindy

My choice for this week is #1 Nicki L T. I love the colours she chose and the way it really follows our sketch.

Can't guess ...well I will tell you...I get to host a special colour challenge week. This week not only are we going to challenge you with great colours but we are also using Digis from Bugaboo Stamps for our creations. Yeah!
The colours for this week are just in time for Valentine's Day, although I have seen some amazing Valentine's cards done with no pink or red at all.
As always you can add another neutral to your creation but please...as this is a colour challenge...please stick to our colours.

This week's challenge is sponsored by BUGABOO STAMPS! We will use Random.Org and the winner will

Here is a little information on Bugaboo's History:
As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing!  From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects.  Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!
If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps at  Totally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT  for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug

Top Picks for Love is in the Air Challenge

Thanks to everyone who played with our love challenge theme this week. What a marvelous bunch of entries we had. I for one could have chosen 2 or 3 favorites. Anyway I'm only allowed one along with the other designers. Anway here are the picks for this week. Join us tomorrow with our Feb. Color Challenge and your chance to win some Bugaboo digis.

I have chosen Lisette's Precious Tilda Card this week. It was so neat to see a  LOVE card done in Lavendar and Lime Green...one of my favorite combos. Her coloring is perfect, and the DPs are reallly neat. The gorgeous roses finish the entire card off...Lovely!
Julie

My pick this week is #52...Jan R...Robot Love. I just love the image but more than that the little touches she used like the bolts tied in the ribbon or the two different google-eyes. It is just so darn cute and different.
Leslie

My Choice this week is Shelby's adorable Tilda. I chose it for a few reasons. First of all love the colors she chose to color her with, not your typical reds and pinks, the turqoise just pops off the card. I also love the heart accents in the turqoise and the ticket sentiments are just pleasing to the eye on this card.
Cindy

#24 Kelly Jean……..Fabulously done, Kelly’s card is very well displayed! Love all the layering and embellishments that she added to make her card stand out.

Before I give you our picks for the week I would like to thank everyone who joined in our challenge. You made us choosing the top picks very difficult, as there were a lot of  amazing creations. Thanks for inspiring us with your projects. Now onto our choices.

My favorite project this week is #10, by Tammy. I just LOVE how she has done this ornament...the image is so cute and colored beautifully. I love the shape and the fancy border around it, and how she added the flowers and Big Bow! Even the back is finished off and looks pretty! GREAT project~
Julie

My pick for this week is #24...Surprised Joy. Queen B has done a great job on this Christmas page and I love all the detail, embellishments and her style. Well done.
Leslie

I have chosen # 12 Zoe has made a tag using one of my favorite images of flowers….which just happens to be “Poppies” I can just imagine the glimmer on the corrugated background from the mists, and the dimension of the large poppy is almost 3-D ! Awesome job on the tag Zoe!
Shell

My pick this week is Leenas box with the rosettes and pins. Wow, what a lot of work just to fold all that paper, then to make such a pretty box, and a gift of rosettes and pins to give to a friend, can I be that friend lol. Anyway it is all spectacular. Great gift and idea, thanks for sharing with us Leesa
