Anything but a Card Challenge

Hi Everyone. Well we only had a few people post for this last challenge, it was a little different. Still it is good for us that some people are into trying new or different techniques. That's okay, we enjoyed trying it, and thanks to those who did too. Also thanks to Shell for giving us the Challenge.
Anyway this is a fifth week of the month so it's for anything but a card this year, so anything you want to show us would be great. Our Designers have been trying to come up with some projects too. We also have a guest Designer this week and she did a beautiful project. What do you think? If you like the projects let us know. We all love comments on our blogs too. Click on our names on the side bar, or above the project to get to our blogs. Thanks again for joining us this week at Come and Get It.
Now onto the Design Team's Projects.

Top Picks for Faux Tile Technique

Only a few entries this week, but here are the favorites of each of the design team members.
Great Job to all who entered.

Top Pick for this week would be # 3……Jane did a beautiful job of coloring her stamped image and her card would actually fit any gender!
Wonderfully done Jane! Thanks for giving my Technique Challenge a try!
Hugs Shell♥

.... My pick for this week in #3 Jane's. I love the look of her card and the way she followed our Challenge.
Leslie

I will go with #1...Love the way she made the gift box The image is really neat, and all the "extras" she used to make it masculine. Great Gift.
Julie

I picked Brenda's card this week, because I love the image she used, and the big bow. The coloring is great. Thanks for playing Brenda

Technique Challenge Week

Hello it's Shell and I'm here to host with the first Technique of the year for Come and Get It!
So in the spirit of Challenges we'd like to encourage you to play along using this week's technique using any card, scrapbook page or project.

This week's Technique Challenge is called Faux Tile and you'll be able to find instructions at Split Coast Stampers here as well as a short "You Tube" video.
SU has Crystal Effects and there is also Judikins Diamond Glaze that can be used for the same effects in making this Technique.

We'd love to have you challenge a stamping friend or your card group and join us here!

Sketch Challenges Top Picks

Happy Saturday! This week AGAIN, we have some WONDERFUL entries in Leslie's Sketch Challenge. Here are the Design Team's Top Picks:

My pick for this week is # 9 Mary C. Her card was just so beautiful. I loved the detail, the flowers and the cute image. But most of all the colour choice and the way she used my simple sketch and took it up a notch. Wonderful.
Leslie

My Top Pick for this weeks Sketch Challenge would be #9……..Mary used a Lili of the Valley stamped image that is so adorably colored, the use of the die-cuts and the floral embellishments are beautifully done!

Sandy

I chose Sandy's card as my top pick for a few reasons. For one she made a great card that followed our sketch. The image is sweet.  I love the clean and simple look of the card, and the added charm just makes it. Great Job Sandy.
Cindy

I chose # 14 by Jane. I love the color combo, and how she stuck close to the sketch. The DP is so pretty, and her bow placement is the perfect touch! So pretty! Thanks for playing, Jane!
Julie

We would like to invite our top picks this week to join us as a Guest Designer on a future Challenge. If you would like to join us, please email Cindy at cvanoorschot@msn.com . We hope you will all come play along with us again soon!
