Cracked Glass Technique

Hi Crafters! This week's challenge is a Technique Challenge called Cracked Glass. It is basically taking an image, covering it with Versa Mark ink, and several layers of Clear Embossing Powder, heating each layer as you go. (I am simplifying it)  When it is cool, you literally break the thick layer of embossing to create the cracked effect. But don't take my word for it, watch a tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers and learn how this technique really works. Here are the Design Team's Creations, we hope you will join in.

Top Picks for Sketch Challenge

Thank you everyone that participated last week with our sketch challenge. It was a difficult decision to make as there were a number of great entries. Thanks again and hope you join us this coming week for our technique challenge.

My pick is Linda, as I really thought she did a great job on colouring the image as well as the background papers she chose. I also really like the lace at the bottom with the gingham ribbon and button, very country looking to go with a camping scene. Thanks Linda for joining us this week.
Cindy
Bettina

OMG when I saw Bettina’s card show up for the challenge I just knew that #8 was my favorite pick for this week! She used some of my favorite LOTV stamped images!
Shell

I will have to choose #8, Bettina. I just LOVE the Pastels she used for her non- traditional Christmas card, and such and adorable Image! I also like how she used Creative License to use the sketch by flipping it and making it work on a square card! Just Gorgeous!
Julie

I really like the bright colours that Ardilla used. The colouring is perfect as well, and the way she used the sentiment is just perfect. Thanks Ardilla for joining us this week.

Now onto our picks for this week.

 Sally

Kathy

Wow this week is really hard to pick out a favorite with so many wonderful entries! I think that Kathy’s card being number #19 is just cute as a bug…….being she used “bugaboo” image! I just love all the little elements that she designed her card.

 Lori

For my pick this week I've chosen Lori's decoration. I think it is great to see something other than a card. I love the spiderweb, the bat at the top and of course the Tilda's. Great job on your decoration.

This week I am going with #1 by Susan. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE this image, and how she has done the entire card in Purple and Green! The ribbon flower just finishes it off perfectly!
