Stained Glass Technique

Hey there all you crafty folks, I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone that joined our challenge last round for Julie's sketch!
This week for the challenge I picked out a technique that I hadn't tried myself.... it's called "Stained Glass" using vellum, so if you are like me you got some in your stash of goodies somewhere!
I chose to make a Christmas card this time using a Tim Holtz stamp from the set "Letters to Santa"
Stained Glass technique is really easy and fun if you haven't tried it yet check out the instructions on Split Coast Stampers here
Looking forward to seeing all your fabulous creations.........Here's The Design Team Members cards for samples to get you all going on the technique!

Two of the gals chose this card....
My pick for this week is Jane's creation, #4.
I liked this card because the paper choice was great, the style followed our sketch quite well and it was just so pretty. Leslie

My choice for this weeks sketch would be #4 Jane used some awesome Designer Paper for the focal point of her card and added some half pearls for bling to make her card pop!  Thanks again Jane for joining us on Julie’s Sketch this week!
Shell

My pick is #3, Crafty Chaos. I love the way she has colored the kids, and the sentiment is so appropriate! Great for a kid of any age going back.
Cindy

I have chosen #7 by Choccy. The way she has colored this plane is just WOW! I also like how she has done multiple layers with the BG paper and cardstocks. GORGEOUS CARD!
Julie

Top Picks from Leslie's Color Challenge

Hi Everyone, well I'd like to say we got some really great cards submitted for our Challenge last week. I hope you will all come again tomorrow and play with us again, Julie has a very simple sketch for you. Of course there are only 4 cards to be the top picks so without further ado lets get to them.  Also a reminder, that anyone who is picked for our challenge, please grab our badge for your blog and also if you would like to be a guest designer at an upcoming challenge, we would love to have you, just email us at comeandgetitchallenge@gmail.com

Julie's Pick: I really like the chevrons around the image and that they only go half way up the page, and the doodling around the image works perfectly as well. And to top it off its just a really cute image, so that is why Paul is my pick.

Shell's Pick:
My pick for this week’s color challenge would be #10 Marilyn’s Raggedy Nurse, her card was made with one of the Bugaboo New Release Stamps and it’s so adorable with sparkly wings it reminds me of a vintage home made doll from years ago. Love all the layers that she chose to complete her card using only the Red, Black and White colors of our challenge.

Cindy's Pick: I picked Choccy's card because I thought the image was adorable and loved the way she colored it, and adding the red flowers, butterfly and the great lacey edge just set it off perfectly. Great job Choccy.

Leslie's Pick:  My pick this week is #4, Sarah's card. I love this mug, it is too pretty. An amazing Christmas card in black, red and white. It is really lovely and special. Excellent job...love it!

Leslie's Color Challenge

Hello Crafters. Leslie here with this week's challenge. It is going to be a colour challenge....black, red and white. I was thinking it was a good time to get into some different colours, before we are inundated with orange, yellow and red...the traditional fall colours. These colours are great for a masculine card I think. Yet it made me think the wonderful damask wall paper my mom use to have in the hall. It was black and white and she paired with fire engine red carpet. She was always a trend setter, and had definite ideas about colour and style. Hope you have fun with these colours...They are oh so cool!
Hope you will join us for our Challenge. Any time you are picked for the top 4 at our blog you can join us as a guest designer, by emailing us at comeandgetitchallenge@gmail.com. We have Hazel as our Guest Designer this week. Welcome Hazel.
Without further delay here are the colors I chose for this week's challenge. Thanks for listening, Leslie
